The Domaine Berger-Rive is based within the family property of Manoir de Mercey, located at the southern end of the Côte de Beaune in the village of Cheilly-lès-Maranges, and more precisely in the heart of the Mercey hamlet. Paul BERGER, fourth generation of winegrowers within the Berger-Rive family, took over the estate in 2020, after 5 years of collaboration as a father-son duo. With his team, he cultivates 26 hectares (64 acres) divided between the Rully, Mercurey and Hautes Cotes de Beaune appellations. The estate has been certified High Environmental Value by the French government since the 2017 vintage.

Vinification : Slow alcoholic fermentation in oak casks, around 20 days at low temperature 19-22°C (66 - 72°F)
Ageing : Once the alcoholic fermentation is finished, this wine will undergo malolactic fermentation in Spring, if the characteristics of the vintage allow. This wine will be aged in casks on fine lees with regular stirring.
Tasting notes : Aromas of pear , combined with passion fruit. Fine freshness on the palate revealing a mineral stamp.
Serving : 11-13°C (52 - 55°F)
Keeping : This wine can be drunk young, in order to take full advantage of its aromas of fresh fruit. It is capable of ageing up to 4 years and will give aromas of hazelnut, almond.
To accompany : It will be the perfect accompaniment to white meats or fish
